The young actress Angelika Hauff wears a polka-dot dress in the style of the 19th century and looks seriously into the camera. The photograph documents the resumption of cultural production in Bavaria after the Second World War. Taken during the filming of "The Secret of the Red Cat" (1947-1949) in Munich. The film was shot shortly after the war (shooting day 253 documented) and was only released in 1949. The film reels were elaborately processed by hand.
